Richie’s Hot Chicken Arrives in Riverside, San Bernardino – Press Enterprise

Richie’s Hot Chicken, a small chain with locations in West Covina and San Fernando, is coming to Riverside and San Bernardino.

The San Bernardino location will be at 591 N. D St., which was recently Roger’s Burgers but is probably better known as the former home of The Mad Greek.

The Riverside location will be in a former Metro by T-Mobile store at 3970 University Ave.

The restaurant serves a small menu consisting of hot chicken sandwiches, burgers, steaks, and fries.

No timeframe has been given for the opening of any of the restaurants.

The Lost Cajun now open

The Lost Cajun has arrived in Rancho Cucamonga.

The new restaurant, which specializes in Cajun cuisine, opened Monday, Jan. 10, in a former Pieology pizzeria at 8158 Day Creek Blvd., Suite 120.

It’s the first California location for the chain, which has two dozen locations in Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

Temporary hours this week are from 5 to 9 pm

Burrito Box Toss

Miguel’s Jr. has introduced a Burrito Box, available for a limited time at all locations.

The box consists of a bean and cheese burrito or a bean, rice and cheese burrito, plus chips and guacamole, as well as a 22-ounce fountain drink.

The cost of the box is $5.69.

Inland Empire locations include Riverside, Redlands, Rialto, Corona, Fontana, Grand Terrace, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Moreno Valley, Murrieta, Norco, Eastvale, and Ontario.

Other Raising Cane’s

Wings purveyor Raising Cane’s, which opened a location in Hesperia in late December, added another new location in the Inland Empire.

The new restaurant, 840 N. Main St., Corona, opened Tuesday, Jan. 11. It is the second location in that city.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Another location will open at 5601 E. Ramon Road, Palm Springs, and another is currently under construction at 12625 Frederick St., Moreno Valley.

Chipotle goes vegetarian, again

Chipotle, which has long offered vegetarian options, now has a new one: Plant-Based Chorizo.

The vegetarian offer is presented in three new Lifestyle Bowls offered by the chain.

The Whole30 Salad Bowl includes a mix of lettuce wraps, plant-based chorizo, tomato sauce, vegetable fajitas, and guacamole.

The vegetarian bowl includes a mix of lettuce wraps, pinto beans, plant-based chorizo, tomato sauce, vegetable fajitas, and cheese.

The Vegan Bowl includes white rice, black beans, vegetable chorizo, corn salsa, tomato salsa, and shredded romaine lettuce.

Lifestyle Bowls are available exclusively through the Chipotle app and at chipotle.com.

The chain is also offering free delivery on all Lifestyle Bowl orders through January 31.

Luna Grill’s new bowls

Mediterranean chain Luna Grill is also launching new “Luna Vida” lifestyle bowls.

The Classic Bowl features grilled salmon served over lettuce with lemon vinaigrette, Greek cabbage, chickpea, cucumber, tomato and feta salad with a drizzle of house-made tzatziki.
