RED OR GREEN SAUCE? Order a burrito at Little Miss BBQ

PHOENIX – Have you ever wished you could order a burrito at your favorite barbecue place? Now you can! Introducing the BBQ burrito! Each of these types weighs a whole pound. These burritos come with your choice of salsa roja or salsa verde and you can even order them enchilada style! The only place you can pick up one of these monster meals is at Little Miss BBQ’s Sunnyslope location.

Each burrito weighs one pound! Owner Scott Holmes notes that they are fully loaded because his company wants to give you great value for your hard-earned money and because the restaurant has a family-friendly atmosphere, Little Miss BBQ wants it to leave full, too.

Little Miss BBQ features a Central Texas-style barbecue and the Holmes family has provided Arizonans with high-quality meat for 14 years, between the opening competitions and their first location. Holmes exclaims, “We have an incredible team that produces some of the best barbecues in the country!”

Scott Holmes used to work for an environmental reduction company where he worked a lot in mining towns.

“One of my favorite things about the mining towns here in Arizona is that the Mexican food is amazing! I really liked it. Growing up in Arizona, I have eaten Sonoran food my entire life. When we would grill all the time for competitions, we had tons of extra meat. My wife and I started working on a green chili recipe with our leftover roast. One thing led to another and we’ve been working on the recipe for 12 years. We used a 12-inch tortilla, chopped chili peppers, Roasted poblano peppers, onion, and a ton of meat. You can order both the red and green burritos with cheese, ranch-style beans, or enchiladas. ”

So what kind of barbecue will you find on the burrito?

“In the green chile burrito, whatever meat we have goes into it! Beef ribs, brisket, sausage, pulled pork, pork ribs, and turkey! It smells SO GOOD!”

Alex Bernal, the Assistant Manager at the back of the house, is the creator of the Red Chili Breast Burrito with Mole Sauce.

“One of the best things we create, that is, we create because everyone participates in the back of the house. Everyone who works in the pits cooks our breast, which is the star of the red chile burrito. The chile sauce Red is where I come in. My mom was a great chef and she managed to feed 8 children. We all helped in the kitchen and recently some memories helped bring some recipes back to my mind. Little things come back. Mole sauce from red chili is made from sun-dried bell peppers and many other good things. “

“The green chili burrito comes with all the meats, but the red chili burrito only gets the brisket, which makes it more unique!”

Both burritos are only available at Little Miss BBQ’s Sunnyslope location, not at the University location. You can order them online, call and pre-order to pick them up, or walk into the restaurant to enjoy the smells and sit down with your burrito.
