Fire up your gumbo at the Consortium Cooking Contest 10/31 Jan 15 | Food / Restaurants

Are you a gumbo cook or just one who believes in eating every type of gumbo you can get?

The 10/31 Consortium, known for its Halloween activities, has you covered either way.

On January 15, starting at 5:30 p.m., the group will hold their Roux Boo Gumbo cooking competition at George’s Place, 860 St. Louis St.

For $ 10, try the different gumbos after judging.

Bourbon tasting
