Expo 2020 Dubai will be home to the Middle East’s first ever vegan food festival this January, showcasing flavors from around the world with a revolutionary culinary experience in association with Veganuary and Vegan Days.

Veganuary is a non-profit organization that encourages people around the world to go vegan during January and beyond. During the 2021 campaign, more than 500,000 people pledged to try a vegan diet, with around 825 new vegan products and menu options launched around the world.

The food festival will bring together the best plant-based food the region has to offer, giving visitors the opportunity to sample nutritious vegan bites with a hint of music, courtesy of a diverse DJ lineup.

F & B’s international brands joining the Vegan Food Festival include Chuck Chick – Vegan Burgers, serving a classic plant-based cheeseburger, a southern chicken burger, classic dogs, or loaded fries; Erpingham House, UK’s plant-based restaurant, Vegan Dough Co, which is on a mission to show the world how delicious vegan pizza can be, with its innovative and indulgent food designed to help people fall in love with the plant-based cuisine, Holy Carrot, a UK plant-based restaurant serving Asian-inspired dishes with natural ingredients.

Mylk, a Doha-based 100% vegan chocolate and ice cream concept store, Veg’d by Matthew Kenney, Not Just For Vegans, are other outlets.

Restaurants across the Expo 2020 site will also participate in Veganuary.

Visitors can register at Veganuary.com and will receive all the tools and tips for an easy and delicious vegan lifestyle. Dubai Vegan Days (DXBvegandays) are events designed to bring together the vegan community in the UAE.

Visit the Vegan Food Festival at Expo 2020 Dubai every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between January 14-30 from 1200 to 0200 GST. Admission is free as part of an Expo ticket, no reservation required. The festival takes place at the Festival Garden, Wadi Avenue, Jubilee Park, near the Malaysia Pavilion.
